A Speech Storey

Hey! I’m Mika. I’m a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist specializing in early intervention and speech sound disorders. Play-based, child-led, and collaborative services are my jam. I believe therapy should be skilled and fun. Individualized and family-centered. Dynamic and flexible to support your child best each week.  

 

As a mama of two young boys I am passionate about educating parents and caregivers. YOU are the vessel to facilitating your child’s speech and language skills and I’m hellbent on empowering and encouraging you.

 

I have worked with the pediatric population my entire career. In fact, 2023 marks 10 years in the field. I have spent most of my career in the private practice setting. Prior to starting A Speech Storey, I held a clinical director position where I led a team of therapists and supervised speech therapist assistants and graduate students. I loved all of that, but I LOVE being in the therapy room even more.

 

I am a Long Beach native and reside here in the city with my husband and our two boys. So, if you see me at the bay, strolling the aisles of Target, or grabbing a cup of coffee at a local shop, I hope you’ll come say hi.
